Pollok Country Park has enough space for anyone to escape from city life for a day. Inevitably, there are things that people need to enjoy their own experience, which may change at different times throughout the year.

Food in the Park
Food in the Park

Food is grown in the Park's allotment spaces, where there's a waiting list of over 5 years to get a space. There are cafes in the Burrell Collection and, from January 2025, at the Stables near Pollok House. When the sun shines, picnics are a popular sight.
Consider other opportunities for growing, cooking, buying or sharing food experiences throughout Pollok Country Park.
Livestock
Livestock
The animals at Pollok Country Park are its most popular residents. In the future, there may be potential to run tours with the Clydesdale horses or the Highland cows, or even the Police dogs. There’s also plenty of wildlife to spot throughout the Country Park.

Occasions in the Park
Occasions in the Park
The large, beautiful surroundings of Pollok Country Park provide a backdrop to important occasions for the City and its people. The Park is a valuable asset that requires significant maintenance and upkeep but it also has the potential to support itself through activities that are respectful of all users and the environment.
Weddings already take place regularly at Pollok House, large events have been held in the Park, and the various buildings and spaces provide opportunities for intimate, small-scale occasions.
Consider how you feel the Park could be used to celebrate occasions and events so everyone can make the most of this unique place while supporting its upkeep and improvement.

Pollok Country Park offers a vast oasis in the city, with 361 acres of countryside and amenity space. The Park's look and feel in different locations create varied experiences for everyone. Manicured gardens are set among much wilder, open and enclosed spaces.
There are already plenty of wellbeing activities that take place in the Park; both managed and informal e.g. parkrun, sports clubs, yoga, meditation, guided walks, social activities. Consider what does the Park do for your wellbeing and what else could it offer you?
